New Look for Crombies of Edinburgh
Crombies of Edinburgh has recently undergone a major shop refit. After stripping back to the bare walls the complete refurbishment was completed within 12 days. Designer Jackie Muir worked very closely with Sandy and son Jonathan Crombie to develop their ideas into reality.
“Jackie has done a wonderful job creating a classic look using black granite and walnut with a black trim; creating a real wow factor!” Sandy commented.
The layout of the new shop follows much the same shape as before with a wall unit for cooked and ready to eat products, the existing serve over refrigerated counter, a new unit to house steak pies and another for oven ready products.
Much more has been made of the hot food area. The space used is the same as before but it looks twice the original size. The serve over is a self contained unit supplying a diverse range of customers with breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Three wide screen monitors slip into the classic look showing customers new products and cooking tips. Even the takeaway customers can absorb the products on sale elsewhere in the shop as they wait to be served at their counter.
It has given Crombies an immediate boost to sales with new business that they hope will grow. Their customers, appreciate the care and attention given to sourcing quality local meat.
