Phill Jupitus Kicks off Celebrations for the Byford Food Hall Re-Launch Byfords Food Hall in Leigh-on-Sea celebrated the refurbishment of their shop on Friday 26 February 2010 with Phill Jupitus cutting the ribbon to start the celebrations.

Local Farmer, Richard Stacey, was on hand cooking his locally reared Berkshire Sired Pork. Tasty rolls filled with his pork were sold at £3 each in aid of the Haiti earthquake fund.

Byfords Food Hall Butcher, Matthew Howard, was teaching customers to fill and link Byford’s Award Winning sausages with contributions going again towards the Haiti Appeal.

Local Wine Expert, Bernard George hosted wine tasting allowing visitors to try some full bodied red wines to accompany Byfords Food Hall’s special offer Scotch Top Rump. David Smith from Dalziel was also present – cooking up a storm with Verstegen Sauces and Marinades.

Robert Byford said: “We are very proud of the refurbishment which has given the food hall a new lease of life for the customers. We were delighted to be able to use this celebration to raise funds for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal and thank everyone who came along to support both the Food Hall and the Appeal.
