Q Butchers Support National Butchers Week
Q Butchers are using this fantastic opportunity to support independent butchers by celebrating National Butchers Week (NBW).
Brian Fields of Fields of Anlaby is celebrating National Butchers Week by taking a stall at The Hull Truck Theatre Food Festival. The Festival includes cookery demonstrations with James Martin (Saturday Kitchen) and Nigel Brown (BBC Radio Humberside). The event is being held on Sunday 7 March from 12pm till 6pm.
Brian will be promoting NBW by giving out brochures and promoting his produce with his bespoke product booklet. He will also be cooking and giving out samples to taste in the shop during National Butchers Week – 15 – 20 March 2010.
Steadmans of Sedbergh are booked in at Sedbergh Primary School on Monday 15 March. They are going to make, cook and eat burgers with the children and give each child four burgers to take home to their parents.
Kirklees butcher J Brindon Addy have invited customers to submit their favourite holiday recipes in the run-up to 2010 National Butchers’ Week.
Brindon Addy wants customers to send in their weird and wonderful recipe discoveries from either home or abroad.
The best of them – availability of product and ingredients permitting! - will then be made up and sold over the counter during National Butchers Week, with the winner also to be rewarded £50 worth of Addy’s meat vouchers.
